BABYLON

An ancient Sumerian poem tells of the first written word. A message too crucial for memory pressed into the soft, yielding earth of Mesopotamia, fired hard into clay. Long before the age of paper, this was how stories began.

The Babylon Collection is born from this genesis. We transpose the angular forms of ancient cuneiform, the vessel for humanity's earliest epics and laws, into the graphic language of the pieces. Intersecting brass armatures and elemental stone repeat these ancient patterns, their play of light and shadow recalling engraved signs.

The Babylon Chandelier stands as the opening gesture of the Babylon collection - the first of many, with the story continuing to unfold.
